"Domaine Leroy, along with DRC, was among the top performing domaines in '91 and while the Chambertin is an excellent wine, it is not among the very top wines of the vintage. To be fair, this is still youthful though no longer primary with a deep ruby red color and fresh, reserved, subtly complex nose of crushed black fruit aromas and no sous bois that is followed by medium plus weight, still firmly structured flavors that offer very fine depth and very impressive length...93."
