In 1861, Charles Krug, who has been called the visionary father of Napa Valley winemaking, established the winery that the Mondavi family purchased in 1943. For four generations they have been passionately perfecting an enduring legacy for those generations still to come.
And now a stunning lot has been commissioned for you to be a part of history.
Your lot features six decades of Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon from Charles Krug, a Napa Valley legend. First made in 1944 by Peter and Robert Mondavi at Charles Krug, the oldest winery in Napa Valley, the Vintage Selection Cabernet has since represented the finest grapes from the extensive vineyard holdings of the Mondavi family.
This lot includes bottles from six decades of Chafles Krug wine: 1964 (1 bottle), 1974 F1 (2 bottles), 1980 (1 bottle), 1991 (1 bottle), 2003 (1 bottle), 2014 (12 bottles) and 2015 (12 bottles). These bottles have been held at the winery since bottling and are rarely seen at auction or in the market. Take this opportunity to enjoy these extremely rare Napa Cabernets.
