THE WINE
Like the small window of time between the chaotic energy of high and low tides, this wine represents the balance of the styles of two winemakers during the transition of their own tides of winemaking influence on the iconic “Revana Vineyard”. Winemakers Bryan Weil and Tresider Burns present their shared vision for this rare 60-bottle lot. Focused on the juxtaposition of textural richness and fruit expression, they play with soil types and clonal selections to bring harmony within contrast.
THE WINERY
In 2005, Dr. Revana discovered a piece of land tucked along the edge of the Dundee Hills that has since been recognized twice in Wine Spectator’s ‘TOP 100 Wines’. The 55-acre Alexana Estate shows remarkable geological diversity, showcasing 18 unique soil types. Small blocks of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a singular block of Pinot Gris planted along soil type boundaries provide a distinctive perspective on Willamette Valley terroir. Winemakers Bryan Weil and Tresider Burns focus on fermenting each block in small lots with individual attention to produce classically beautiful wines unique to this tiny pocket of the valley.
