Argyle’s 1999 Brut is remembered fondly by Winemaker, Nate Klostermann, as it was being disgorged during his first harvest working in the cellar in 2005. A blend of 30% Pinot Noir and 70% Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley, 1999 Argyle Brut has developed into a rich expression of golden fruit, flakey pastries, and lightly toasted almonds and hazelnuts. Said to be “reminiscent of some domaine-bottled champagnes” by Wine Spectator upon initial release, and highly regarded while as our Extended Tirage Brut in 2009, we’re pleased to open our cellar and feature this wine with nearly 24 years en tirage.
