Since the pandemic began in the spring of 2020, Rieslingfeier has been forced to postpone its organized events, though we hope to resume our celebrations in the spring of 2023.
However, we are proud to have shifted our mission during this time, hosting multiple charitable auctions. With your help, we have raised well over $100,000 for organizations focusing on the restaurant industry and food charities including City Harvest.
Today we present what I hope is the first of many: A carefully curated selection of the top bottlings of the vintage in exclusive large-formats available only at this auction. All of the profits will go to City Harvest, so please bid generously!
None other than Klaus Peter Keller has said the following about 2021: “A more perfect Kabinett vintage I cannot remember.”
We agreed and so we’ve asked just a few of our favorite producers to bottle some large-formats of their top Kabinetts. From Emrich-Schönleber we are proud to offer the only six double-magnums in existence of the single-vineyard Niederberg Kabinett. From Stein we are proud to offer the only magnum bottlings of his 2021 Kabinett Trocken “1900” that will be sold into the market. From Lauer and Hofgut Falkenstein we offer historic firsts: Both Kabinett magnum offerings represent the first-ever Kabinetts these estates have made from these vineyards, the Schonfels and the Bockstein, respectively. These are magnums for the history books.
All of these wines are Kabinett-monuments to a monumental Kabinett vintage.
