The September sale is always one of our favorites. The sale is filled with fashionable wines—and we don’t mean trends, we mean classics. From Burgundy alone we have 4,581 bottles, magnums, jeroboams and methuselahs for sale. Highlights? We’ve got a few. A jeroboam of 2002 Romanée-Conti (lot 586). A methuselah of 1990 La Tâche (lot 319). A swath of Romanée-Conti three packs from 2009, 2016, 2017 and 2019. A jeroboam of 1990 DRC Montrachet (lot 435). A three-pack of 2009 Roumier Musigny (lot 382). Outside of Burgundy highlights include 1961 La Mission Haut-Brion (lot 265). A full case of 1989 Haut-Brion (lot 220). A double magnum of 1959 Lafite (lot 1182). There’s Screaming Eagle, 1991 Cuvée Cathelin, 2005 Le Pin in d-mag, 1978 Rayas, 1976 Salon, 1934 Ygay, 1978 Monte Bello in 5L, 1989 Haut-Brion blanc magnums, Clos Rougeard, Clos Sainte Hune, 1968 Mastroberardino, and just about everything in between. The top lot isn’t wine at all, but Macallan: the Six Pillars Collection (lot 1118). Macallan 50, 55, 57, 60, 62 and 65, all in Lalique decanters and in their original packaging, too. For the Scotch collector there simply is no loftier grail. We are thrilled as well to be back at Le Bernardin Privé for this auction on September 21 and 22, starting both days at 10am. Please be sure to RSVP to auction@zachys.com to reserve your seat.
