"The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras comes from 0.68-hectares of vines around 70-years old. It has a refined bouquet that contains the most finesse this year; just everything perfectly in place on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied, very tense with life-affirming mineralité. The terroir is succinctly articulated and the finish is long and penetrating. This Les Cras has a structure that is almost severe, yet still compelling on its uncompromising stony finish. This is outstanding, but one for hardcore Chambolle aficionados!..94-96." WA 12/13.
