Vidon Vineyard was founded in 2000 by Vicki Lewis and Don Hagge, with the dream of building a boutique vineyard. For 20 years they planted, crushed, laughed and poured, being intentionally unconventional with the planting of untraditional varietals to the Willamette Valley, such as Tempranillo, Syrah and Viognier, in addition to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In 2020, Erin and Dru Allen purchased the property with the vision to continue the legacy of Vidon, while establishing their own traditions. In 2022, Vidon Vineyard was renamed Compris Vineyard. Compris, meaning included or understood in French, encapsulates their mission. The team at Compris ensures everyone feels at home when they visit, enjoying the Valley views while sipping on great wines and learning as much or as little as they’d like. This Legacy Collection shows the past and present, while looking forward to what the future holds.
Included Experience:
Two tickets to Compris’ Star Party on July 22, 2023. Teamed up with the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, you’ll experience star gazing as you never have. Several high-powered telescopes all manned with trained astronomers will give viewers the opportunity to gaze at stars, planets, galaxies and other space phenomena from the vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains. Additionally, there will be an OMSI expert presentation of the constellations, food, wine and tons of ooohs, aaahs, and smiles!
