THE WINE
La Régénération is a combination of the finest fruit from our own Lingua Franca Estate augmented with an exceptional selection from neighboring Hope Well Vineyard. 2021 is expressive with generous aromatics brought by a spectrum of red fruits from red cherry and raspberry to cranberry, finishing with the stony mineral characteristics found in Eola-Amity Hills with silky tannins and vibrant acidity.
La Régénération is Lingua Franca’s homage to Mimi Casteel, who guided the early development of Lingua Franca Estate. Mimi’s vision is a role model for regenerative farming with thoughtful vineyard practices to improve the environment around and beyond the farm. Mimi’s philosophy has inspired us from the beginning.
THE WINERY
Nestled among the illustrious vineyards of the Eola-Amity Hills in Oregon’s Willamette Valley lies Lingua Franca, a 66-acre estate winery founded by world-renowned Master Sommelier Larry Stone. When Stone first acquired this exceptional, undisturbed vineyard site in 2012, he set out to create complex and seductive wines of distinction using low-impact, organic and biodynamic principles.
Famed Burgundian winemaker Dominique Lafon and protégé Thomas Savre joined Larry in 2015. Drawing from each of their unique backgrounds, the newly formed oenological dream team adopted the name “Lingua Franca” as a nod to the universal language meant to bring people from diverse backgrounds together to share a moment of pleasure.
