2021 Stein Riesling Hölle "1900" Kabinett Trocken Magnum

We are thrilled to offer one of only fifteen or so Kabinett Trocken magnums (the rest will stay with Stein's importer vom Boden or with Stein himself) from Stein's tiny "1900" vineyard; a garden-sized parcel of vines all planted in the year 1900, if not earlier. This is, so far as we know, the second oldest vineyard in the Mosel still in production, with around 1,200 vines, all of them ungrafted and well over 100-years-old. This is the first-ever Kabinett Trocken (a dry Kabinett bottling) from the "1900" site and it is not for the weak of heart. It is a structured, bracing dry Riesling that will require many years to come into form. But when it does... you'll wish you had bid on this über-rare magnum.
