We are thrilled to offer one of ten magnums of the first-ever Kabinett bottling from Lauer's Grand Cru site Schonfels. None other than Klaus Peter Keller has said: "A more perfect Kabinett vintage I cannot remember." Therefore this auction is focusing on the glories of the monumental 2021 Kabinetts. Florian Lauer is one of the acknowledged greats of the cool Saar valley and the Schonfels is, for many purists, his quintessential bottling: It is often the most mineral, the most delineated and structured. This is a legendary site filled with ungrafted vines 100+ years old; this Kabinett magnum is a historic first-of-its kind from Lauer and these magnums were bottled only for this auction.
