"Showing spectacularly well and a brilliant vintage for this cuvée, the 2009 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Chaupin is a textbook Grenache that has an almost cool climate feel in its fresh, delineated aromas of black cherry, raspberry, licorice, mineral, and freshly snipped flowers. While a small portion of the blend is aged in new demi-muids (30% and in ¼ new barrique), you would not know it by tasting it as the wine present a beautifully pure, classic profile on both the nose and palate.
