"A deep, resonant wine, the 2012 Zinfandel Kirschenmann Vineyard wraps around the palate with gorgeous depth. The flavors are wonderfully nuanced and layered throughout. A rich, voluptuous finish rounds things out nicely. Kirschenmann is another of the historic sites Turley works with. The vineyard was planted in 1915, with own-rooted vines. Mondeuse and Carignagne are present in the vineyard as well, a style of 'mixed blacks' that was typical of that era...91-93" Antonio Galloni 11/13
"Proprietor Larry Turley and his team have turned out a gorgeous set of wines with their 2011s and 2012s. Winemaker Tegan Passalacqua is one of the brightest young stars in California. Passalacqua has a deep passion for the state's heritage sites that comes through loud and clear in these expressive Zinfandels and Petite Sirahs. The team is rounded out by Christina Turley, who has recently joined her father at the winery, and is now much more actively involved in running the sales/marketing piece of the family business."
