Welcome to the second sale of 2022, and the first in New York! It’s rare that we have a February auction in New York, but there’s just so much great wine out there, we wanted to bring you this offering.

There’s Burgundy here, for sure, but the focus of this auction is certainly Bordeaux and other regions. The anchor of the auction is “A Very Important Collection” (lots 100-588), which is the majority of the sale. Imperials of 2000 Margaux, 1990 Latour, 2005 Haut Brion, 1989 Mouton for starters. There are rare Champagnes, such as 1981 Krug Clos du Mesnil. There’s California—take the 1974 Heitz Martha’s Vineyard and 1994 Screaming Eagle. And don’t miss the 1963 Nacional. There are wines from Guigal, Harlan, Inglenook, Schrader, Diamond Creek, Masseto, Mouton, Margaux, Yquem, and many, many more.

Following the wine, we have an amazing offering of spirits from a private collection, all bottles from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. For those unfamiliar with these rare bottlings, look at our intro at lot 825. It’s a fantastic opportunity to pick up rare and unique drams. Our “spirits and fortified only” auction is fast approaching on March 31, but we couldn’t wait to get these bottles into auction.
