The Zachys Europe team are kicking off the 2023 season with a delightful, curated and focused sale that more than makes up for its length with its superb quality. The best things come in small packages, as the saying goes!  

We begin with the Executive Cellar Part XVII, a collection so vast it’s beginning to challenge our knowledge of Roman Numerals. We then go into numerous collections of fine Claret—both of the First Growth variety, and just about everything else, including Le Pin in OWC and plenty of super seconds. There is Champagne, and then there is Champagne, and boy do we have some very special Champagne in our sale. Super rare Krug is something I am sure will get the heart racing—1990, 1995 in magnum, 1996 vintage and Clos d’Ambonnay and a jaw-dropping selection of old Clos du Mesnil. We’ve also got one of the largest offerings of that pre-phylloxera great the Vieilles Vignes Francaises from Bollinger. Don’t worry, there’s Burgundy, too, from DRC, Engel, Dugat-Py and others, as well as everything from Donnhoff to German Pinot (!), Pingus, Quintarelli, Tokaji, and what has to be the first in a Zachys auction catalog: New Zealand Pinot Noir. And not to be forgotten, we have some outstanding sprits too. The yellow & green magic that is Chartreuse makes a very welcome return, alongside some rambunctious rums, American and Japanese Whiskies and more!  

This is going to be a great sale, so get your paddles ready. 

All wines offered in this auction are lying in Zachys warehouse in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Each lot is offered under one of three EU VAT schemes represented by a symbol († or ◆ or △).
