The award-winning cellar of Proof featuring many lots offered at no reserve is here! Proof—a wine destination in the Penn Quarter of Washington DC for a decade, closed in 2019. Proof was a favorite of Tom Sietsema and was given three stars by the Washington Post. It was featured in the top 10 of the Washingtonian’s “top 100.” The restaurant was opened in 2007 and at one time offered over 40 wines by the glass and 1,000 by the bottle. The wines were moved to Zachys storage in DC on closure of the restaurant and have been there ever since. Many are being offered at NO RESERVE including: 1988 Lafleur, 1982 Lafite, 2003 Ausone, 2000 Cheval Blanc, 1989 and 1990 Haut Brion, 2003 Latour, 1998 Petrus and Burgundies from Leroux, Bouchard, Tremblay, DRC, Dujac, Roulot, Fourrier, Leflaive, Niellon and many more!
