After an amazing “live online” auction in Hong Kong time but auctioneered from New York, we’re at it again, and this one’s on East Coast time, so no need to set your alarm clock!
Here’s what you need to know: if you’re used to bidding online, absentee, or on the phone, nothing has changed. You can do all of that stuff. If you’re used to joining us at Le Bernardin, sorry, no scallop crudo this time around (unless you want to make it from home, which we support). You’ll have to log in online, where you’ll see the smiling faces of your beloved Zachys auctioneers!
We’re also doing something very special in this auction, something we’ve never done before. Many of our friends who run charity wine auctions have had their fundraising devastated by the pandemic. So Zachys offered to step in. In the final lots of this sale, you’ll see very special lots—things like a dinner in your home by a celebrity chef, or a trip to the 2021 Kentucky Derby—all being sold without Buyer’s Premium. How it will work is, once you’ve won the lot, you’ll make the payment directly to the organization so that you can take advantage of the tax deduction. Email us with any questions. So enjoy the lots folks! And we’ll see you in the “saleroom” on June 4.
In order to ensure the safety of your wines, we take precaution during the summer months, including the suspension of some shipping methods. Zachys offers free storage for 90 days from the time of sale. If you would like your wines sooner please contact us at 914.448.3026 or email auction@zachys.com. to arrange pick up, local delivery or inquire about dedicated refrigerated delivery.
Please be advised that Zachys cannot guarantee any exact delivery dates at this time, regardless of the service level chosen. All carriers are experiencing delays, and we have no control over their exact delivery times.
