These two auctions cap off a phenomenal year
for Zachys auctions. In a year of successful single-owner auctions, Pioneers I is a collection after Zachys’ own heart. A large part of it was purchased directly from Zachys retail. All of the bottles in this offering were also stored with Zachys. To follow up on another great single-owner sale is Zachys’ annual Holiday Auction, with the greatest offering of Lafite (outside of Zachys’ 2019 “chateau-direct” sale of course), huge swaths of Burgundy, and even a Hong Kong caliber spirits section at the end; you’re not going to want to miss it.
This year hasn’t been without its challenges, to say the
least. But we’ve excelled by maintaining a focus on doing what we do best: bringing you the finest and rarest wines in the world. With some combination of “keep calm and carry on,” and the ability to improvise, nimbly, we had many firsts in 2020. Our first “Studio Sales,” the live streaming only auctions that are now a part of our repertoire. And our first London auctions—both the cellar of Enoteca Pinchiorri, and London II, our multivendor sale. We’ve done it all while keeping our employees and clients safe, too.
All in all, these sales are a fitting cap to a wonderful, if challenging year for wine auctions. We hope that you find something you like, and that you stay safe.
