What a pleasure it is to introduce the first live auction of 2021! This is a concise, highly-tailored auction that we built around "The Supreme Cellar Part II". Zachys offered over 350 lots of Burgundy from this cellar just a few years ago and the result was exceptional. The Supreme Cellar quickly became known as a reliable source for rare Burgundy and I've been eagerly anticipating more Roumier, Musigny, Leroy Musigny, d'Auvenay, Rousseau, Leflaive, DRC, Jayer, Corton Charlemagne from Coche-Dury, Dugat-Py Chambertin and more from this Cellar. It's not all Burgundy though--how about double magnums of Le Pin and two 27-litre bottles of Montrose 2016!
This auction isn't just about the Supreme Cellar, though. We also have the cellar that-keeps-on-giving, the Executive Cellar Part XIII with Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, Cheval Blanc, Haut-Brion, and Pétrus. This cellar is owned by a personal friend of Zachys' President Jeff Zacharia, and we plan to have Jeff on the podium auctioneering this section, even if he has to do it from New York. This sale also features a section you will likely recognize: The Ruby Collection Part VI. At this point, it's a cellar that needs no introduction, as one of the greatest cellars ever sold in our Hong Kong auctions--and indeed internationally! We look forward to welcoming you all to this auction. As I write this letter in late 2020, it's too soon to tell whether or not we will be able to host you in the room or at a bidding party for this auction, but I'm confident we'll be able to share a glass once again in 2021, and I can't wait!
